PAOPAO: THE GOD SLAYER
A woman is running from misery,
And still remains a great mystery.
Her expressions are in vain,
Spreading throughout the terrain
As the midnight sun rises above,
Pain expresses as if there’s no love.
Wandering through the endless torments,
Like a troubled weather and unstable current.
Oh goddess of weather! Delightful as feather,
You’re like a leaf that starts to wither.
Unmatched by the mother’s frightful wrath,
Her life seems to become a disastrous path.
Together with her is a little red apple,
Filled with life under the cloth’s supple
Oh what a great blessing she had!
Yet turned to be a curse to the jealous lad
Unsure to where the path will take her,
She left the apple with a beautiful weather.
As temperature rises from intense measures,
The apple is in safe haven, she ushers.
Up-down and under she goes,
Runs with haste till she flows
When the time comes when she is drained,
The enemy’s misery will not be in vain.
With haste she runs till the dawn,
But when day comes, she is worn.
With no more energy left to say,
The jealous lad is here to slay.
When the day comes her time approaches,
Ironic for a goddess for in death, she loses.
When the blood sun rises in the morn,
None has come in there to mourn.
The day started and ended long,
But the eerie feeling played along.
Unknown for the apple on what just happened,
And in the weather it just enlightens.
Time passes by so damn fast,
The little red apple is no longer red at last.
Unsure about the past that he had,
And had the urge to reveal it so very bad
He asked everyone about is past,
Yet none answered him up to the last.
The only clue that he ever had,
Is his name written in a pad.
In the pad marks his only name,
But did not know it’s written in shame.
The clean pad has hidden the hardships,
For “Paopao” is written in beautiful penmanship.
Paopao is in search for his precious past,
And took him years to find it at last.
The search took him in the land of Toterin,
In which he proves he is genuine.
His blood type is no ordinary kind,
Mortals can’t notice it for they are blind.
Monsters aren’t really his match,
For it is easy for him to slay and catch.
He stayed there and became popular,
Yet did not know what’s waiting him afar.
Toterin is a delightful place for him,
Yet he didn’t know about the scheme.
Deep in his heart he know its home,
Like a dreaded rock drenched in foam.
Popularity can sometimes be crucial,
For in the queen, there’s no denial.
She searched for answers in the oracle,
To find out what’s the biggest obstacle.
Glib-gibbering the oracle blabbered,
Paopao is the obstacle, must be sundered.
The queen searched from there to the intimate,
Yet it’s no problem, for she’s the goddess of climate.
Her doubts has reached to the upheaval,
For it has something to do with the dead rival.
After the search, she discovered something,
Something that she is forever tormenting.
It is something what her dead daughter had,
A child that’s born in precious god blood.
With all realization she’s in great shock,
For someone in her kingdom is as strong as rock
She’s so desperate to kill her foe,
And is ready to deliver the killing blow
Without a rush, she has thought,
“What evilness can be brought?”
Using her brilliant skills,
She thought of a plan, and just stood still.
She has planned to use a spell,
Very maddened, just like hell.
She had returned to the kingless kingdom,
With great wickedness and not boredom
As the sun sinks own the horizon,
Ready to sleep and abandon
The queen has her plan on set,
And Paopao, she must get.
In the banquet, she prepared a feast,
Paopao should be there at the least.
But before she begins her scheme,
She should be gentle like a stream.
In the middle of the banquet party,
Paopao sensed something eerie.
His senses are bright and keen,
The queen in the middle, he has seen.
Suddenly, all the sounds come to a halt,
As if someone committed a fault.
The queen will now begin her scheme,
With no hesitations just like a beam
The queen is now ready to say,
What she’s preparing all night and day.
“Everyone, I have an announcement to make,
A minute or few these will take.”
“Paopao I hear you seek the truth,
Like a tooth fairy desperate for a tooth.”
“And right now you’ll get the answer,
So that you will not wait forever”
A slight happiness filled his face,
Like a new bloom of those sweet days.
He could never believe what he heard,
Like fresh milk becoming a curd.
He expects what he’ll hear is good,
The truth is it’ll give him a different mood.
When he’s to face the moment of truth,
Not knowingly taking over is ruth.
“I am your mother’s mother,
That makes me your grandmother”
“And as a mother, I did care,
But too much of that, I cannot bear”
“I may be your mother’s mother but,
I brought her a delightful slaughter.”
“You’re so precious, your mother always utter,
But for me, you’re just a stupid matter.”
“Yet, what’s so precious about you?
You’re just a product of those stupid two.”
“Stupid two I did say,
There’s a price they got to pay.”
With all the unbelief, he is stunned,
For what’s done is really done.
His world instantly shattered,
In just a swift, blink of matter
He is lost with absolute frenzy,
Killing her would be the tendency.
But before he could actually act,
The queen instantly reacts.
She used the spell that she prepared,
Used it to the boy her daughter cared.
The spell instantly reacted on him,
Weakening Paopao from limb to limb
He felt as if he is weak,
And cannot take a single leak
“What have you done”, he struggled
“You’re now a mortal”, she mumbled.
Without the strength he is helpless,
“You’re like your mother, very careless”
“But why?” he said in agony,
“To find myself true harmony”
When she’s about to deliver the killing blow,
Something rose up from his toe.
Blocks of earth is there to deflect,
And caused her blow to reflect
The weakened Paopao still can’t recover,
The blocks of earth took him to a shelter.
Away from the kingdom of Toterin,
To a place somewhere he has been.
He regained consciousness,
Still thinking of her granny’s wickedness
He wondered on who spared him,
From his granny’s evil scheme
Out from afar he saw a figure,
Yet in his mind, he can’t picture.
It is drawing close to him slowly,
Like someone approaching the lowly.
Paopao didn’t have a clue,
To the figure he doesn’t know who.
The figure treated him like someone special,
Like a dad and son, there’s no denial.
As his vision brightened up,
He saw the figure clearly, standing up.
The figure introduces himself to him,
Politely and straightforwardly without a dim
The weather was fair and is perfect,
Also the best time to reflect.
As the man told him the very truth,
It stunned him again, filled him with ruth.
Before the man left, he said something,
“Mortals and gods are all living beings,
Without power you’re not weak or done,
You can still alter the impossible, my only son.”
Those last words deeply touched him,
For his father has always been there for him.
From the times he thought he’s alone,
No, his dad’s there all along.
With a blast from the past,
He found himself back at last.
And is now ready to avenge and overcome,
For his mother’s justice to really come
Without a power he may be weak,
But he can still punch and deliver a kick.
Of course violence is not the always answer,
To the ones he considers a bother.
He has set his body and mind,
To bring vengeance to his own kind
He is ready to bring justice,
Under a moody fade summer solstice
He has called all the almighty goddess,
In which he is ready to harness.
In just a flash she appeared,
There’s no more turning back or disappear.
“Fool, do you know who you are?
You’re just a mortal, easily killed by a bar.”
“I did wish this day would come,
A mortal, thinking a god he could overcome.”
“From the depths of time and space,
I did expect this would be your day.”
“Just like your mother, you’re so naive,
Always thought to be positive”
“A delightful slaughter”, she shrieked and cried,
As the temperature rises and intensified.
She delivered a massive blow,
“Only one blow, to kill a foe.”
There are some things that aren’t meant to happen,
As Paopao altered on what’s bound to happen.
The goddess is shocked with great unbelief,
As Paopao survives and in great relief
“Are you shocked on what just happened?
Like someone who is heathen.”
“I had survived your killing blow,
I may be mortal but my god blood flows”
“What you thought is that you’re immortal
That is true, yet so immoral.”
“You just killed your own bloodline,
And makes you the one that’s blind”
“A god may be immortal,
But is it really eternal?”
“Since you killed your own blood and kind,
It means I can also kill you in these hands of mine.”
“Oh you fool, do you have a mind?
I did kill my own blood and kind.”
“But what makes you so very sure,
That you can kill me rest assure.”
“A god can kill a god of his kind,
Yet can a mortal kill a higher kind?”
“Oh you fool think wisely,
For I will eliminate you very nicely”
In a single flash Paopao vanished,
And left the goddess shrieking and like someone
vanquished.
“Everyone dies” he just uttered,
And those are the words she lastly hears.
A divine strike shuddered the goddess,
Left her cold and very helpless
“Now you believe?” Paopao said,
And the goddess is left out breath.
As he felt the dusk of the morn,
He felt happy although he’s worn.
He is delightful of the justice made,
And is now ready to fade
With all the years he has spent firmly,
He’s ready to join her mother eternally.
Blackened vision filled his face,
Ending his time and space.
Though his story is never told,
He gave way to bravery, to be unfold.
He never regretted what he became,
For “Paopao the god slayer” is his name.
